Maui Newsletter: June 2021

It’s SUMMERTIME in Maui!!!

On an island that averages a 70+ temperature year-round, we are often asked if Maui feels any different in the Summer than it does the rest of the year. Does it feel like a different season when it’s basically “always summertime”? The answer is yes. Even though we might not experience the dramatic temperature swings, June and July carry the same special feeling in a tropical location as they do anywhere else.

Perhaps the exuberance of school kids is contagious. Maybe it’s the excitement of graduations or the carefree living of beach days to come. Or maybe it’s just the simple joy of watching the Lahaina mangoes hit the perfect “ripe for picking stage” that makes us smile this time of year.

Whatever the reasons, we are pleased to report that the positive energy of summertime seems to have also carried over into our business as well this year. While actively listed inventory remains very low, buyer interest has remained high. So, with a little creativity in locating available properties it appears the strong trends of our typical “busy season” will continue.

At any rate, we appreciate the solid market and hope it continues, in our uniquely easy, Maui No Ka Oi way.

And since we’re talking about easy and mangoes in the same breath, check out this month’s recipe for Mango Salsa!
